Help: past, present and future!

Recently, I had the privilege to visit a women’s rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, New York. Feisty women who so bravely began there in 1848 that true pioneers, determined to make a better way of life for every woman who came after them. While there, I think about the women who helped pioneer the teeth. This is part of our profession I’ve ever looked into and I would like to find out more.

Dr. c. Edmond Kells is a visionary in the field of dentistry. His early works with the latest technology, x-ray, help promote its use in dentistry. In 1885, Dr. Kells enlisted the help of his wife’s dental practice. With the help of much-needed, Dr. Kells

Assistant: Malvina Cueria, only a teenager at the time, but he is considered the first dental assistant in modern history. Because women are now present in dental offices, it is accep for a woman honored for visiting dentist

In March 1925, after much effort and determination, Juliette Southard, an Assistant that helps regulate dental assistants organizations across the country, became the first President of the new national organization called the American Dental Assistants Association. Juliette worked tirelessly to promote the profession and improve the quality of patient care that is received.
